Compton Facility Surpasses One Year Without a Recordable Injury

Centric's Compton, California facility recently surpassed 365 days without a recordable injury, a milestone we celebrated with a group photo and a visit by the Tommy Burger truck. Our Compton facility is primarily used for manufacturing our StopTech high performance and racing components, as well as research and development, so the extensive use of material handling equipment and manufacturing machinery makes this safety accomplishment extra noteworthy.

Each Centric facility is committed to protecting the safety of its team members, and best-practices are shared between them. The Compton team’s 365-day milestone was the result of every team member’s continuous awareness, effort and care on every shift. By identifying and correcting potential problems before they occur, Compton hopes to extend its record for another 365 days and beyond.

We are proud of all of our employees at all of our facilities, who have kept Centric among the safest and most productive automotive aftermarket manufacturers since our founding in 2000, but especially proud of our Compton workforce for reaching the 365 day mark. Congratulations on one year and here's to the next milestone!

Team StopTech Comes Out Fighting in 25th Anniversary World Challenge Season Opener

The 25th Anniversary season of Pirelli World Challenge racing got off to a roaring start this past weekend with the running of the 2014 Cadillac Grand Prix of St. Petersburg brought to you by StopTech. World Challenge has always been one of StopTech Racing's favorite series, so it was nice to see our company, our products and our customers so prominently featured during the Grand Prix weekend.

Not only was the race presented by StopTech, but StopTech is the Official Brake System and the Official Brake Friction of the series this year. Plus, the group of drivers using StopTech that we affectionately refer to as "Team StopTech" had a really strong showing with Andy Lee taking second and Jack Baldwin claiming third in Sunday's GTS race. Both cars run full StopTech Trophy Big Brake Kits that are essentially the same as the kits you can buy for your high performance street cars and race cars.

Nor surprisingly, Jack Baldwin qualified his #73 RESET-MD/Motul/StopTech Porsche Cayman S on the pole after leading both Friday practice sessions. "It was exciting," Baldwin said. "For us, it was a situation where track conditions in traffic fell in place, I got a clean lap on drying conditions and that's what paid off. There were still some slick spots. But this track suits the RESET-MD Cayman really well."

While Round 1 was scheduled to be run on Saturday, inclement weather caused it to be cancelled. Therefore, Sunday's standing start grid was based off the qualifying results.

Andy Lee of Colorado Springs, Col. had qualified third in the No. 20 Best IT/Crown 7 Chevrolet Camaro and while Baldwin lost some ground on the start, Lee was able to move into the lead ahead of second-place qualifier, Lawson Aschenbach. Lee and Aschenbach battled throughout the race with slower traffic eventually helping Aschenbach take the lead with just a few laps to go. A disappointed Lee held onto second with Baldwin third.

Lee, twice a polesitter at St. Petersburg and a frequent lap leader at the track, came up short of the win once again. But it was a fighting effort from the third-year driver who was named GTS class rookie-of-the-year in 2012.

“I don’t know how many laps led I’ve had here without winning,” Lee said. Referring to the backmarker who gave Aschenbach his chance to pass, Lee added, “Every year this place seems to bite me in one way. I thought he’d open the door, but he turned down on me. He didn’t do it on purpose. That’s part of getting around here.”

In third place was polesitter Jack Baldwin, who was slightly behind the Camaros for most of the race but was pleased with his third St. Petersburg podium in the last two years.

“We lost a bit off our starting position, but the race was good from my point of view,” Baldwin said.

You can watch the race broadcast on NBC Sports Network April 6 or on-demand at world-challengetv.com. You can also follow all of the series action at world-challenge.com.

The next round of the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge Championships is the Roar By the Shore presented by Kia in Long Beach, Calif. on April 13, part of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend.

The Centric License Plate Has a New Home

Remember that license plate we showed you a few months ago? The one that read, "Centric"? Well, the same member of the extended Centric Parts family responsible for the plate has attached it to an even more impressive statement of brand loyalty.

Robert Geist, a member of the sales force at Parts Authority in Phoenix just sent over some photos of where we can find those personalized license plates. The plates are proudly displayed on an awesome looking Hyundai with Centric Parts, PosiQuiet, StopTech and Fleet Performance logos all over it. And when we say all over it, we mean all over it. Take a look at the photos and you'll see a car completely wrapped in Centric livery!

As we said last time, we see this kind of dedication from our employees and sales force in many different ways, but this being a distributor, we are truly humbled and we had to share.

If you are in the Phoenix area, keep an eye out for the car, the plates and Robert, who will more than likely be wearing a Centric cap for good measure.

Centric Returns From AAPEX/SEMA with Several Honors

This year's SEMA and AAPEX shows may be over, but the Centric Parts team is still celebrating our 2012 participation. Not only did these shows give us a chance to meet with customers - old and new - and to show off our latest products and catalogs, but the shows were also very memorable for other reasons too.

During the Auto International Association (AIA) Import Products Awards ceremony held at the Sands Convention Center, Centric's President Dan Lelchuk accepted two awards on behalf of the company. The 2013 Brake Systems Catalog was deemed the best of the bunch, and the new Posi Quiet with Hardware line took the overall highest honor in being named Best Product. Centric was the only company present to claim wins in two categories this year.

Over at the Las Vegas Convention Center, StopTech and Power Slot were well represented, mounted on a dozen or more high profile show cars this year. One of them even won a top award at SEMA. A StopTech supported project earned the Gran Turismo Award for Best Truck or SUV.

The project was a very special Toyota Sequoia made over into a family dragster by the team of newly crowned NHRA Top Fuel Champion Antron Brown. Brown was competing against three other Toyota sponsored racers in the Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge. His 650-hp, five-seat 'DragQuoia' was the favorite of video game creator Kazunori Yamauchi, who will feature the creation in an upcoming edition of the Gran Turismo game series. The DragQuoia was also chosen in several top ten SEMA show car lists by major publications like Car and Driver and Motor Trend.

In addition, the StopTech/Power Slot booth featured one of only three brand new 2013 SRT Vipers at the show. The one in our booth (top) was a black GTS model with the optional Track Package, featuring StopTech AeroRotors as an upgrade to the standard discs fitted to lesser models. The car received a ton of attention from attendees and the media, as it should. This newly updated version of the iconic American super car features an 8.4-liter V10 producing 640 hp and 600 ft-lbs of torque. With a price starting at just under $100,000, it is actually quite a bargain too, competing head to head with Porsches and Ferraris costing up to three times as much.

Another award that came in just before our trip to Las Vegas was the Toyota Quality Alliance Gold Supplier Award - a huge honor. The Gold Supplier Award is presented to top Toyota parts and accessories suppliers who have consistently demonstrated their commitment to product development, product quality, operational quality and product support. As a long-standing technical partner with Toyota, Centric products have shown up on several Toyota, Lexus and Scion models, including the newest Scion FR-S sports car that features a StopTech Trophy Race Big Brake Kit on its World Challenge GTS race car.

In fact, StopTech BBKs were found on several versions of this hot new sports car - from tuners like Perrin, AEM, Hotchkis, Injen, DC Sports, Outperformance, Five Axis, Forgestar, Rocket Bunny, and more. In addition, we saw StopTechs on Mustangs, BMWs, Audis, Porsches, Camaros, Hyundais, Acuras, Subarus and others.

One of our favorite StopTech moments this year came when internet automotive personality Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire and other shows, chose a StopTech Trophy kit as the brake component for his dream SEMA build, where he scoured the millions of convention hall square feet to find his overall favorite engine, suspension, supercharger, wheels, tires…and brakes. With every brake company represented at the show, that was quite an honor.

Prepping for AAPEX and SEMA 2012

October is always a really busy time here at Centric Parts. With the biggest aftermarket shows of the year coming at the end of the month in Las Vegas, the whole team is energized to get everything in order for AAPEX and SEMA, two different shows with distinct flavors.

Both shows are important for us. AAPEX is where we will be discussing our full line of replacement brake and clutch components, including our complete range of brake pads from OE and PosiQuiet to Fleet and Street Performance. It's also where we have been honored for our contributions to the  industry on many occasions, and we hope to add to that list of honors this year when the AAIA announces their import products of the year.

SEMA gives us a chance to show off our high performance and racing offerings, including our BBKs, Sport Kits and our new fluid line, as well as letting people see how our new racing friction will allow us to start offering complete racing system solutions for a variety of different racing disciplines. We'll have products on display as well as mounted on several high profile customer cars scattered throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center.

This year we will be on several notable show cars, including a few manufacturer entries. In fact, the StopTech booth will be featuring a pretty exciting new model from a major manufacturer - one which features StopTech brakes as part of the factory's ultimate brake upgrade for the car. It's a car we are very proud of and one that we think will generate a lot of traffic in our booth.

We'll also be conspicuously present on a few other hot new cars that are winning tons of magazine covers and earning a lot of praise from the automotive world. Think small and light, as well as small and powerful and BIG and powerful.

We plan to cover both shows in our social media over the course of the week, with photos, posts and tweets flying out of both locations daily. If you haven't subscribed to our YouTube channel, liked us on Facebook or followed us on Twitter yet, you're missing out. Be sure to do so before next Tuesday when the shows open and thousands of show cars are unveiled. We'll be your eyes and ears throughout it all so stay tuned.

And if you happen to be at the shows this year, please stop by and say hello. Our AAPEX booth number is 8805 this year and StopTech will be in booth 23057 at SEMA.

Ultra Rare Porsche takes on the Historics with Centric's Help

A few months ago, we were approached by Jim Ansite, a well-known Porsche restorer in Southern California, to see if we could help with a little problem. It seems Jim was having trouble sourcing brake lines for a project he was working on. And no wonder, as the car in his care was a super rare 1959 Porsche 718/2 RSK Spyder (right), one of only four built with a central driving position.

It was an unusual request but not an uncommon one, as Centric constantly gets this type of call. After just three days, the 718 was wearing a custom set of braided stainless steel lines, researched and made by two of Centric's resident Porsche fanatics, Graem Elliott and Robbie Pyle.

The 1959 Porsche 718/2 RSK Spyder was an evolution of the 550 Spyder, but was considered Porsche's first purpose built race car. The central driving position allowed it to be campaigned as either a sports car or a single seater.

Flash forward to August and the Monterey peninsula was crawling with hundreds of collectible cars almost as rare as this special Porsche. It was Monterey Classic Car Week and the whole area was playing host to concours vehicles, newer exotics and vintage race cars. The Porsche showed up at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion held each year at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. We caught up with Ansite and the Porsche and discovered that Jim had another unique vehicle in his care that week as well.

The "Not Dead Yet Racing" team also had a special 550 (above left) in their stall. This special Porsche was a survivor, with a beat up body that told tales of its long racing history. After passing through a succession of owners ill-equipped to master this car's potential, the 550 was purchased by the current owner. It had battle scars and modifications earned over 50 plus years of track duty.

The car has an alloy body and dozens of "lightening holes" (below) where every extra ounce of weight was removed to improve performance. One of the areas that wasn't drilled, thankfully, was the brake lines. They did need to be replaced however. Knowing that Centric had helped out with the brake lines for the 718, Ansite once again called on the team to help with lines for this special 550 - and Centric once again met the challenge.

Classic cars aren't the usual application for StopTech high performance brake components, but it was nice to be represented at one of the most prestigious historic racing events in the world by a very special pair of Porsches.

Centric-Sponsored Challenger Project Supports Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charity

2011 WD-40 Dodge Challenger SRT/8 392 HEMI
100% of Purchase Price Goes to Charity!

Towards the end of 2011, Centric Parts® was approached by Legendary Motorcar Company (LMC) of Dream Car Garage fame. They had been commissioned by the makers of WD-40 to help customize a car that would eventually be sold to support an important charity, the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program. Our response: “Just tell us what you need.”

The idea was to take a new 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT/8 - with the new 392 HEMI engine - and add some retro cosmetic pieces to give it the vintage Challenger T/A look with lots of modern day performance.

We contributed some big StopTech® brakes for better braking performance. They really look great behind those Pirelli P-Zero-wrapped Forgeline wheels that should give a lot of extra grip. Eibach lowering springs with matching dampers from Koni were also added to give handling a boost.

The look of the Challenger, which was one of the rare inaugural edition models, was updated with Matte black hood and T/A hood scoop from Cervinis, Stainless Works side-exit cat-back exhaust, fully polished custom paintwork from LMC, custom striping with some special details, a removable trim package and custom embroidered WD-40 headrests.

With the excellent Challenger foundation as a starting point, this makes for a very impressive car.

The build is being featured on Dream Car Garage, and the car is for sale now through Legendary Motorcar – when it isn’t being shown off at major auto shows. Best of all, 100% of the sale price will go to support the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program, which has helped more than 100,000 kids in financial need participate in organized sports or recreation programs.

So give LMC a call and make them a generous offer. The money goes to a great cause and you’ll end up with one very special Challenger. info@legendarymotorcar.com | 905-875-4700

StopTech Supported Team Gets Very Special Help In Long Beach

Although Mark Hiett didn’t turn a single lap in brother-in-law Don Istook’s white-hot Audi TT RS this weekend, race day couldn’t have come soon enough for him.

“He’s had his bag packed since last Saturday, and to be truthful, he’s about to drive me crazy,” Laurie Istook said of Mark, one of two brothers born with Fragile X syndrome. Mark and Tyson Hiett are the inspiration behind The Arc Audi Racing Program, a new partnership between The Arc, based in Washington, D.C., and Istook’s Motorsports, part of Team StopTech.

The program’s goal is to provide a unique opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to experience what it’s like to be part of a professional racing crew at select events in the 2012 Pirelli World Challenge series. Mark Hiett made his debut as a crew member Sunday during Round No. 3 of the World Challenge, a support race to the 38th annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach headlined by the IZOD IndyCar Series.

“Mark is 47-years-old and this is the most exciting thing he’s ever done in his life, to be a crew member on a race car,” said Don Istook, who along with wife Laurie has taken the family’s personal connection with the I/DD community to the paddock.

Through a partnership involving Istook’s Motorsports, Volkswagen Group of America and the Pirelli World Challenge, The Arc Audi Racing Program will invite 20 individuals with I/DD, their support staff and staff from select chapters of The Arc to be honorary crew members at seven venues. Ideally, that five-to six-hour experience also will raise awareness of The Arc and I/DD among racing fans and media. Sunday’s race saw participation from The Arc of Los Angeles and Orange Counties at Long Beach, site of America’s most successful and prestigious street race on a 1.968-mile, 11-turn layout.

Mark and brother Tyson, 50, have Fragile X, a genetic syndrome that is the most common inherited cause of intellectual disability and the single-gene cause of autism. Individuals with the condition have developmental delay and behavioral and emotional difficulties. Fragile X is caused by a mutation in the FMR-1 gene, located on the X chromosome.

Don Istook said Mark has the intellectual capacity of a 10-year-old, and an unbridled love of motorsports. “Part of this for me is a feel-good, personally, because if you saw Mark’s expression when I gave him his team shirt – held up his team shirt – it was just beyond words,” said Istook, 60. “And when you see people that don’t have an opportunity – whether it be intellectual opportunity or physical opportunity - realize they can be part of something they’ve always dreamed of, it’s a pretty good feel-good.”

Mark’s at-track tasks included helping to load and unload the Audi TT RS, changing tires, assisting in cleaning the car and even helping on the pit-to-cockpit radio.

“When we bring the group in from The Arc, we want Mark to give them a two-three minute talk of what it means to be on a race team,” said Don Istook, who will be assisted by Laurie as group coordinator.

“I did tell Mark he needs to be thinking about what he’s going to say,” said Laurie Istook, an Educational Diagnostician for the Birdville Independent School District with a 29-year background in special education. “I think I’m going to have to guide him a little bit, but we’re going to tell him what to include, how to look people in the eye, which is a little bit of a problem for him.

“For me, it’s an opportunity to put people like my brother with I/DD out in the spotlight and give them a chance to show what they’re capable of doing. Sometimes we have preconceived ideas that they don’t have anything to offer and that’s just so untrue. You spend time with Mark and Ty and immediately you sense their enthusiasm and love for whoever they’re with and whatever they’re doing. They brighten your day.”

Don Istook, who began working on the program in November, admitted part of his impetus was self-serving. “I was thinking, ‘How do these people (his competitors) get sponsors? They come up with an angle,’ ” Istook said. “And part of it’s selfish but part of it’s true-to-life – just looking at Mark and how he loves racing – we don’t see mentally challenged people at racetracks. You see handicapped and wheelchair-bound people sometimes. It just kind of hit me that there’s bound to be some foundation out there that Mark and Tyson fall under that we could approach, not trying to get them to sponsor us but to come up with an association where we can help.

“I looked up The Arc, went to their website, found Trudy Jacobson’s name and left a message saying: ‘Give me a call if you have an interest in this.’ She called me back right away and said, ‘That’s fantastic. I love the concept. Let’s talk.’ Now we have a contract with them.”

The Arc has a network of over 700 chapters across the country promoting and protecting the human rights of people with I/DD. Jacobson, chief development and marketing officer for The Arc, said that in recent years the organization had backed away from partnership proposals.

“When Don called there was something about it that spoke to us…and really revitalized the organization with a whole new identity. Sort of a coming-out party,” said Jacobson, who plans to attend her first live motorsports event soon to watch The Arc Audi in action. “I think Don was surprised when I called back. What sealed the deal was Don gets it.

“We realized that The Arc is an organization nobody has heard of. If you have a family member or friend or co-worker that has I/DD, you have heard of The Arc. But if you don’t have that immediate connection you don’t know and we felt that aligning ourselves with SCCA (Pro) Racing is an opportunity for us to connect with people. We want everyone to understand the people we serve have the same needs and interests and dreams as you, only the challenge is a little tougher.

“We’ve been in touch with VW Corporation of America and they gave us some seed money to underwrite some of the immediate marketing expenses. We’re looking for more corporations to step forward. Here’s this man who has family and is totally dedicated to racing and needs the racing to support that. We’re hoping that we’ll get more companies to call and find out what can we do.”

Istook said his small team of volunteers, management of The Arc and World Challenge officials will have to “dance a little bit” to see how the program works out. “They’re (The Arc) a national organization and they’re excited about little Podunk me putting this program together for them, which makes me feel really, really good,” Istook said. ”We’ve got a two-year commitment from them, so we can legally use their name, use their logo on our car.

“We’re a sponsored team for World Challenge. ‘Sponsored’ means I paid $11,000 to be a sponsored team. But with that we get X-number of seconds of TV coverage at every race (tape-delayed on NBC Sports Network), we get a full-page ad in the Fan Guide. Instead of touting me, my team or my sponsors, it’s touting The Arc. Also, any prize money we earn, I’m going to donate 10 percent to The Arc.”

Track-wise, Istook believes the 2012 Audi TT RS he purchased for $65,000 will be a competitive platform in the World Challenge’s GTS class for production-based cars.

“The car we’re using is the first one sold in the country in four years,” said Istook, who toured the Audi Quattro factory where the TT RS is built in Neckarsulm, Germany, last fall. “We could not get another car from Audi, and I’m not going to get into why. So, our plan with The Arc is real high-profile. I made the decision to take my brand new TT RS and turn it into a race car because, one, we can win and two, because of the high-profile of that car – a five-cylinder turbo with about 420 HP stock. I build all my own race cars, hand-work and machine a lot of the parts. We’re not building the motor but if I needed to I could build the motor, transmission, the suspension, the roll cage.

”I really am kind of a throwback, because not many drivers today build their cars. Very, very few build their cars let alone work on cars. So I’m an old-school racer, and there’s not many around anymore.”

Istook’s Audi TT RS was competing against the Boss 302 Ford Mustang, Nissan 370Z, Chevrolet Camaro, Porsche Cayman S, Mitsubishi Evo, Kia Optima and Acura TSL, the latter two marques with considerable factory backing. In addition to The Arc, Istook’s sponsor lineup includes REVO Performance Software, Enkei Wheels, Forge Motorsports and STOPTECH High-Performance Brakes Systems.

“I’m probably the lowest-budgeted team out there, but I think the car can win with me driving,” said Istook, whose racing resume since 1977 includes stints and assorted victories in SCCA Amateur and Pro Racing, IMSA GTU, Motorola Cup, GRAND-AM Cup, Rolex GT, National Auto Sport Association, Firestone Firehawk and Porsche Club of America.

“When I talked to SCCA, they said they’d love to have that car (on the grid),” said Istook, whose repair/performance shop led by foreman B.J. Jones caters primarily to Audi, Porsche and VW vehicles.”It all kind of fell together but it’s a huge financial stretch for me to do this. Fortunately, I’ve been able to work some good deals with sponsors and come up with some better pricing that has made it do-able. But we need a sponsor. In fact, I’ve had a little decal made that says “SPONSORS NEEDED” with my phone number (817-332-6547). I’m thinking about putting it on the car.”

Centric Again Leads the Pack with the Widest Range of Brake Component Coverage for 2012

Centric Parts has always led the field in offering the widest range of brake products for the widest range of motor vehicle applications - and 2012 is no different. With the recent releases of the new 2012 Brake Systems Catalog and the Library Edition, Vol. 2, Centric has established the definitive listings of brake and clutch components, seals, wheel bearings and hubs. With more than 30,000 part numbers and thousands of vehicles covered between Centric's Power Slot, StopTech and Centric brands, it is extremely unlikely that Centric won't have the right part for your vehicle.

To ensure that this is always true, Centric is usually among the first to obtain OEM brake components for every new model released by the manufacturers - to carefully measure and document each and every change. That is why Centric has continually led the industry with more FMSI entries than any other company out there.

For 2012 we have added over 80 new vehicles to our catalog, and more than 4,800 part number listings overall. And when our catalogs hit the stands, you can rest assured that we have the parts in stock. Others claim availability practically as soon as they learn of a new vehicle being unveiled. Centric, on the other hand, only announces a new part when it is ready to go. That's our "Right Part, Right Place, Right Time, Right Price" philosophy in action. We were the first to market, for instance, with replacement parts for vehicles like the new Fiat 500, the new BMW F10 5 series, Nissan Leaf, Buick Verano, Chevy Sonic, 2012 Ford Focus, and many more.

Soon we will be adding several other new catalogs to complete the 2012 library of Centric Parts offerings. Watch for the new versions of our Medium Duty, Performance, Mexico and other catalogs in the coming months.

2011 SEMA Show Shines Spotlight on Centric

Besides our Centric Parts President winning Person of theYear from the AIA, a number of vehicles wearing Centric, Power Slot and StopTech brake components took home honors at SEMA 2011, held in Las Vegas the first week of November. Although we are still a relatively young company, it was interesting to note the number of high profile projects that featured our products.

Take the yellow and blue Turner Motorsport Grand-Am GS Champion BMW M3, for instance. It was the vehicle we chose to display in our booth as it really represents what StopTech is all about. Building brake systems for high performance street use and production-based racing applications is our forte. Whether it was a street-driven sportscar or one that consistently wins races, we were the top choice for many show cars this year.

Very high profile vehicles wearing our brakes included the 1,004-hp Bisimoto Honda Civic Si that was best in class, the Mishimoto 370Z live art car project that had tons of celebrities and regular folks alike coloring on it with sharpies in one of the most visited interactive displays at the show and Mark Stielow's "Red Devil" Optima Ultimate Street Car Camaro.

The major manufacturers at the show also spotlighted some of our products. Mazda used our brakes on its 20th anniversary MX-5 Super20 concept, the best-in-class Scion iQ was the one done by Jon Sibal and it prominently featured our BBK, Toyota is using our brakes on its Daytona 500 Pace Car Camry, and Lexus showed off its new F-Sport GS, plus a Five Axis version of that all-new GS as well as a slick CT200h Hybrid - all wearing brakes done by StopTech.

Just up the steps from our own booth was the Ford display, which this year celebrated 100 years of Ford Racing. Amidst the legendary Ford powered race cars on display was a large selection of Ford Focus tuner cars and concepts. While every one of them had some great details, the two that got singled out by Ford in its design awards presentation were the two wearing StopTechs - the COBB Tuning race car and the Roush street car.

There was a huge selection of Mustangs at SEMA again this year, but a few that stood out were the new Petty Mustang, the design award-winning CorteX '66 Mustang Optima Ultimate Street Car in the massive Spectre booth, a Magnuson Supercharger Mustang, Paul Brown's World Challenge GTS championship winning car and the Trufiber Shelby GT500 Mustang - all wearing StopTech components.

Besides the awesome Turner BMW in our booth, we also had StopTech components on plenty of other notable show vehicles, including a grassroots NASA ST-2 E46 BMW M3 driven by Ron Ballard  plus a Formula Drift Nissan 350Z driven by up-and-comer Patrick Mordaunt, an old-school Bisimoto Porsche 911 Turbo, Hasport Motorsports Eibach CR-Z, a wicked looking AMS SR750 Porsche 997 Turbo, a slick Platte Forme E92 M3 street car, the old/new ICON Bronco and a Nissan Armada that drew eyes straight to its StopTech BBK due to its clean design and massive open wheels that spotlighted the brakes nicely.

2011 was another great year for StopTech, Power Slot and Centric Parts at SEMA. Besides all of the great show cars wearing our products, we also introduced our new line of high performance and racing brake fluid, our all-new StopTechwebsite, Centric high carbon rotors, and announced that our patented AeroRotorsare now 100 percent Made in the USA. Thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hello, and to all of you customers who made the choice to use Centric products on your street, track and show cars.
